Last week Sierra sat down with Michael Bialas from The Huffington Post to chat. A full in-depth article will be coming later this year, but for now Sierra's shared a few details about her upcoming album due out Jan. 29, 2016 on Rounder Records.

A few hours before Sierra was to perform on the world famous Grand Ole Opry she was standing on the stage at the 44th Annual Smithville Fiddlers’ Jamboree and Crafts Festival July 4. She was chosen as the second recipient of the Blue Blaze award for actively cultivating a love of bluegrass music. Sierra sat down with music journalist, Bill Conger, prior to accepting the award to chat about what the Jamboree meant to her growing up.

On July 2nd, Sierra will be performing alongside the Del McCoury Band at the historic Ryman Auditorium here in Nashville as part of their Bluegrass Night's series. Just last week, Sierra met up with Del at the Ryman to chat a little about the upcoming show, as well as his memories of visiting the beloved venue for the first time in the mid 1950's.
